Post-Grad Pre-Career

On May 6, 2017 I celebrated one of the most important days of my life. I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my B.S in Advertising - Public Relations and a minor in General Anthropology.

A very brief summary of my educational journey;

I started college in Fall 2012 at Valencia College where I spent two years earning my A.A. degree while working full time to avoid taking out any loans. I then transferred to University of Central Florida where I went through advising sessions to determine that my dream major actually existed, Ad-PR. This program is restricted access at UCF so my first semester there I only took two classes to complete my pre-reqs to apply to the very competitive program. I started my job at Ulta Beauty that Spring where I was rapidly promoted to upper level management. While working full time I was admitted to the program and chose to add a minor to my curriculum due to my passion for cultural anthropology and in May 2017 I received my degree.

Now, I have accepted a position with Amazon as an Area Manager that I will start some time this Summer but I have not yet received an official start date. This time of rest is almost more stressful for me because I am used to being over scheduled 24/7. I do have to move out of my current apartment by May 31 but I decided to use this time for something a little more adventurous than just packing up my life. We'll see where this goes!
